ROLL CALL The Regular Meeting of the Anderson City Council was called to order by Mayor Keith Fetzer at 6:30 PM.
AGENDA APPROVAL M/S K. Southwood/M. McKenzie moved to approve the agenda.
No further discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
Minutes M/S K. Southwood/P. Dempster moved to approve the minutes from the following meeting: Regular Meeting, February 10, 2009. There was discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
Correspondence Mayor Fetzer reported on the following; Thank You Card was received from Jason Mayrand, the mayors of Nenana. The City also received the 2009 summer Youth Litter Patrol grant, which was in turn given to the Lions Club. Mayor Fetzer stated that the survey being conducted by Laurence Irving is now being taken care of by the City attorney and it will be completed. Capital Improvement Project was completed and sent out. Mayor Fetzer received a letter from Denali Borough, Mayor Talerico about reducing the budget in fiscal year 2010.
Financial Reports M/S /K. Southwood/T. Howard moved to receive the financial reports for February 2009. There was discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
Bills to be Paid M/S K. Southwood/T. Howard moved to approve the bills to be paid for February 2009. Motion passed unanimously.
Public Access Michael Smith announced that the Census Office is looking for people to help with the 2010 census. It’s a good job with excellent pay and flexible schedule. The job is projected to last 5 to 10 weeks.

Tom Howard none. The ground is still frozen.
Karen Southwood reported that she is doing an EMT class; we will have 5 new EMT’s. There was a discussion about a universal 911. This would not work for the entire region. Mayor Fetzer stated he will write a resolution concerning the matter.

Mayor Fetzer reported that all is going well at the city office.

Ordinance 09-01
3% Severance Tax M/S S. Thompson/ K. Southwood moved to accept the 2nd Reading of Ordinance 09-01. There was no further discussion. Motion passed unanimously.

Resignation
Of Council Member M/S K. Southwood/ P. Dempster moved to accept resignation of Dave Miller. There was discussion; Paul Dempster wanted to know if there was a reason for David Miller’s resignation. Mayor Fetzer explained the situation and stated that the city council opening needs to be posted. There was no further discussion. Motion passed unanimously.

Destroyed M/S T. Howard/ M. McKenzie moved to approve files to be destroyed. There was discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
