ROLL CALL The Regular Meeting of the Anderson City Council was called to order by Mayor Keith Fetzer at 6:30 PM.
AGENDA APPROVAL M/S S. Thompson/T. McPherson moved to approve the agenda.
No further discussion. Motion passed unanimously.
Minutes M/S T. McPherson/P. Dempster moved to approve the minutes from the following meeting: Regular Meeting, June 9, 2009. Motion passed unanimously.
Correspondence Mayor Fetzer reported on the following letter from Jean Murray. Ms Murray wanted the following people thanked for their work. The city would also like to thank them.
Those who helped with the flowers; Julie Morris, Nancy Hollis, Debbie Terwilliger. The Leach family, Cindy Wright, Mariel Wright, Karen Southwood, Janet Deaver, Sylvia Hughes, Jeanette Witte, Jean Murray, Keith Fetzer, Scott Thompson and the City of Anderson for purchasing the flowers.
4th of July Thanks ; Jerry Leach, Alaena Helt, Tina McPherson, Wayne Robinson, Richard Napoleone, Bob Murray, Jean Murray, Boy Scout Troop #213 – Tom Wright, leader, The Furry & Feather 4-H group, Clear Sky Lodge, Dew Drop Inn, City of Anderson, and the Anderson-Clear Lions Club.
Mayor Fetzer also received a phone call from Doug Poage of Village Safe Water. Some money has been appropriated and clearing of the roads should start in August 2009.
Financial Reports M/S /S. Thompson/P. Dempster moved to receive the financial reports for June 2009. Motion passed unanimously.

Public Access
Bob Murray reported that there was a meeting last month on how to promote Anderson. They will meet again in the near future. Mr. Murray has also talked with the Alaska Rail Road about them putting a sign up on the tracks to let train passengers know that they are passing Anderson Alaska. It would be nice for the people on the train.
Daniel Gutierrez asked the council for a 2 year extension on his lot in the Northern Lights Subdivision. He also stated that he has water, sewer and power hooked up. Daniel also stated that Dave Miller was going to leave town and just leave his house that he built and wanted to know if there was anything the city could do to help him out.
Jean Murray reported that there had been a couple of thefts around town. Something needs to be put in the Newsletter about keeping an eye on your neighbors when they are away.

Department Reports
Paul Dempster, reported that the play ground equipment is ready to be put up down at the park. The best place to put it is on the side of the Napoleathrone. It all should be in place by the time Bluegrass starts.
Tina McPherson. The clinic has been painted and looks great.
Samantha Thompson stated that there would have to be a work session to decide what to do on the land extensions. She also reported that a letter was received from the State of Alaska on the Lawrence Irving Survey.
Mayor Fetzer reported that the DMV office is now taking credit cards and the volume is up.
Old Business
House Demolition Mayor Fetzer reported that the house demolition was complete. This project was done through a grant and the lot looks great.
