Anderson 

A RESOLUTION OF APPRECIATION AND GRATITUDE TO THE EMPLOYEES OF THE ALASKA RAILROAD CORPORATION. 

 

WHEREAS,   The Alaska Railroad Corporation has always been an outstanding community member and helpful and willing to assist the City of Anderson in any manner possible; and

 

WHEREAS,   during the recent loss of our Mayor Michael Pearson, husband, father, and friend, helped the City of Anderson and Denali Borough carry out a final wish of the family to place our friend in his final resting place in Ferry, Alaska; and

 

WHEREAS;   Matt Glynn and Wendy Lindskoog without question made arrangements by providing a vehicle to cross the Ferry Bridge and also contacted employees of the railroad to assist in any way possible to make the safe transfer.

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Anderson on behalf of its citizens, friends and family of Michael Pearson, expresses deep appreciation and recognizes the outstanding professionalism of the Alaska Railroad Corporation and their employees who gave their time and energy to make Mr. Pearson’s funeral a memorable event.
