Anderson 

A resolution supporting the purchase of the west 200 feet of Lot B of the William H. Devon Subdivision

 

WHEREAS,              the City of Anderson is the decision making body for

                                  the community of Anderson;

 

WHEREAS,              the west 200 feet of Lot B of the William H. Devon Subdivision,

                                 exhibition attached, will serve to reduce the capital and

                                 operational cost of the Anderson wastewater improvement 

                                 project;

 

WHEREAS,              the said portion of Lot B has been properly appraised by an

                                 accredited appraiser and a price for the best use of the land

                                 determined;

 

WHEREAS,              the Anderson VSW Wastewater Improvement project funds would

                                 be spent to purchase said land on behalf of the City of Anderson;

 

WHEREAS,              Featherstone Creek also meanders within the same lot;

 

 

THEREFORE NOW BE IT RESOLVED,   the City Council approves purchase of the west 200 feet of Lot B WHD S/D by the Anderson VSW wastewater improvement project, which land would be held in perpetuity for use as a utility easement and otherwise as a preserve to protect Featherstone Creek.  Resolution was passed and adopted by a quorum of the City Council
