AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE UTILITY REBATE FOR THE NORTHERN LIGHTS SUBDIVISION  PROGRAM

Section l.  Classification.

     This ordinance is a non-code ordinance.

Section 2.  Purpose.

The purpose of this ordinance is to establish a utility rebate program for the Northern Lights Subdivision to encourage building homes in Anderson.  The city has received grant funding for the installation of the electrical utility.  The city council wishes to promote family housing within our community and feels that this incentive will encourage more residents to build and become members of our community. 

Section 3.  Authority.

Section 4.  Utility Rebate Program for Northern Lights Subdivision.

            The City of Anderson Utility Rebate Program for Northern Lights Subdivision shall follow the guidelines as listed below:

1.)        Up to nine rebates may be granted based upon financial availability.

2.)        Homeowner must establish a permanent fixed structure on lot and establish electrical service through Golden Valley Electric Association.

3.)        A rebate up to $ 4,000.00 will be refunded to each homeowner after the city receives the rebate check from Golden Valley Electric Association.

4.         This program will be effective September 1, 2006 thru September 1, 2007.

Section 5.  Effective Date.

This ordinance becomes effective upon its adoption by the City of Anderson City Council and signature of the Mayor.
