 Where do I apply for a dog or cat license?

Dog and cat licenses are handled by the city clerk's office.  Forms are available at city hall. All dogs and cats need a license that is good for that animal's life.

 Where Do Official Notices Get Posted

Official notices of the City shall be posted at City Hall, the Post Office Bulletin Board, and the City's official website. Social media may be used only as a supplemental means of communication and does not constitute official notice.

The Anderson City Council has adopted a Social Media Policy clarifying that the City's Facebook page is intended solely as a supplemental communication tool for general community information and is not an official location for legal notices or other required public notices.

 Can I reserve Riverside Park's pavillion for personal events?

Yes, you can reserve the pavilion for your event.

  • Fee: $75.00 for non-residents

  • No charge for residents, but reservations are still required to secure your spot. Otherwise, use is on a first-come, first-served basis.

  Do I need a burn permit and where can I get one?

🔥 Burn Permit Requirements – City of Anderson

The City of Anderson requires burn permits for both brush burning and burn barrels.

  • General burn permits are required from April 1 through August 31 each year.
